About Ayda

Ayda Abedi is a partner in Miller Thomson's Montreal office focusing on civil and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes and civil liability cases. She was called to the Quebec bar in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montreal. Ayda is fluent in English, French and Persian. Her matters have included representing a major transportation company in a non-compete dispute, a financial institution in a CCAA restructuring involving debt over $25 million, and a minority shareholder in an oppression remedy and derivative action, as well as appearing before the Supreme Court of Canada in Montreal (Ville) v. Lonardi. She belongs to the Persian Law Association of Quebec, the Iranian Canadian Business Council's Quebec chapter and the Young Bar of Montreal.
