About Daniel
Daniel Horner is a partner practising corporate/commercial law and real estate, with particular experience in corporate finance, commercial and residential real estate, exempt market and private equity investment, and energy law. He negotiates, structures and finances corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries, and advises clients on strategic business planning and corporate governance. He also deals with intellectual property matters, including franchise law and trademarks, and is a registered Trademark Agent. Daniel articled with a Calgary firm after graduating and joined Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP in 1996, becoming a partner in 2000; he represents the firm within Mackrell International, a global network of independent law firms. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Saskatchewan.
