About Bruce

Bruce MacLeod is the firm's managing partner, practising litigation and insurance defence across bodily injury, commercial and construction, product liability, occupiers' liability, professional errors and omissions, directors' and officers' liability, and coverage matters. He spent seven years in general litigation before working in the in-house legal department of a major insurer, then joined Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP in July 2003 and became a partner in 2006. He represents the firm within the Risk Management Counsel of Canada, has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, and has conducted numerous judicial dispute resolutions and mediations. Bruce was called to the Alberta bar in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wales and a BA from the University of Lethbridge. He belongs to the Calgary Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Defence Research Institute.
