About Billy

Billy Cowitz is an associate practising civil litigation and corporate law. His litigation work focuses on insurance defence, including construction, product liability, aviation, professional negligence and bodily injury claims, alongside other commercial litigation matters, and he also helps businesses negotiate and structure transactions and reorganizations. Billy grew up in Calgary and returned home to article at SVR after completing his law degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2021; he was called to the Alberta bar in 2022. He holds an undergraduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge.
