About Kerianne

Kerianne James worked for four years as a registered nurse at Alberta Children's Hospital before starting law school. She earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2020 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2021. During law school she researched domestic violence in family law rulings on child custody and received the John A. Beke Prize in Children and the Law. She practised at a mid-size Calgary litigation firm before joining Suntjens McKinnon, where she focuses on personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents and catastrophic injury claims, drawing on her nursing background for a healthcare perspective on her files.
