About Douglas

Douglas Boyer is a senior litigator focused on insurance defence, with particular emphasis on defending construction contractors, architects, and engineers in errors-and-omissions claims, along with healthcare professionals, insurance brokers, and property appraisers in professional liability matters. He also handles general commercial litigation, product liability, and insured human rights claims, and has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and appearances before Alberta's courts. Douglas was called to the Alberta Bar in 1993, holding an LL.B. and B.Comm. from the University of Alberta, and received a distinguished Martindale-Hubbell peer-review rating. He is a former member of the Law Society of Alberta's Conduct Committee and past president of the Derrick Golf and Winter Club board.
