About Gabriel

Gabriel practices in all areas of labour and employment law on behalf of employers and has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, as well as before the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Canada. He has represented clients in grievance arbitrations and before the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Workers' Compensation Board, Alberta Employment Standards, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and the Alberta Human Rights Commission. Gabriel acts as lead spokesperson for employers in collective bargaining and advises on policy drafting, organizational change, employment contracts and labour and employment issues in transactions, including for a number of Alberta's public post-secondary institutions. He holds a B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University (2013) and a B.A. from the University of Alberta's Campus Saint-Jean (2009), and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2014 and the Saskatchewan Bar in 2017. Gabriel speaks fluent French and has studied Japanese, and has served on the board of the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Alberta and on the board of the Edmonton Bar Association. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer for labour and employment law by Best Lawyers in Canada.
