About Nicholas
Nicholas Cooper is a civil litigator in Waterstone's Chilliwack office with a practice spanning family law, estate litigation, personal injury and general civil disputes. In family law, he handles complex property disputes involving business interests, corporate holdings and pensions, along with parenting, support and protection orders. In estate matters, he acts for beneficiaries and executors in disputes involving wills variation, abuse of powers of attorney, and mismanagement of estate assets. He also practises as a mediator, drawing on his litigation background to help parties resolve disputes outside of court. Cooper holds an LLB with Distinction from the University of Birmingham and a BA (Honours) in English Literature and Psychology from the University of the Fraser Valley, and was called to the bar in 2017. He is a former president of the Chilliwack and District Bar Association and a former director of the Ann Davis Transition Society.
