About Christopher
Christopher was a founding partner of Devlin Gailus, the predecessor to DGW Law Corporation and the current Sequoia Legal, and has dedicated his career to protecting and advancing Indigenous rights in Canada. His practice focuses on Aboriginal and Treaty law for First Nations, tribal councils, Métis groups and other Indigenous organizations, and he has appeared as counsel at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. He has negotiated multi-party agreements including specific claim settlements and impact benefit agreements, and represented Treaty 8 First Nations in a boundary claim affirmed by the BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. He has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since May 1998 and is a past Chairperson of the National Aboriginal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
