Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionHollis Bromley is a partner in the firm's insurance practice and a member of its executive committee. Her work is centered on litigation, particularly insurance defence and coverage disputes spanning bodily injury, property damage, employment, and human rights matters, including class actions and complex regulatory files. She advises insurers on coverage and defence across many types of policies, from professional liability and general liability to cyber and course of construction coverage. Hollis is well known in the insurance defence community; she has twice chaired the insurance section of the CBA's B.C. Branch and served three terms as president of a national network of independent firms that serves insurers and self-insured companies across Canada. Within her professional liability work she represents a variety of regulated professionals, including health care providers, real estate appraisers, and financial planners, across British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba, handling complaints ranging from consent and billing issues to negligence claims, and has also acted for professional Colleges in related civil and human rights matters. A lifelong Vancouverite, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and boating, and lives in Kitsilano with her husband, daughter, and rescue dog.
