About Ben

Ben has a litigation practice with a focus on insurance defence. During his articles he gained extensive experience in personal injury defence, including motor vehicle accident and slip and fall claims, and also worked on matters involving breach of contract, employee theft and recovery of property, and historical sexual abuse claims. He has a growing interest in labour and employment law, having supported labour files during articling, prepared for a Court of Appeal hearing on union certification in the construction industry, and participated in the mediation and arbitration of union grievances involving human rights complaints. Ben holds a J.D. from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Victoria. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2023 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
