Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionBarry Mason, K.C. is a founding partner of Pressé Mason in Bedford. He earned Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Saint Mary's University before completing his law degree at Dalhousie Law School in 1993, and he was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1994. His practice focuses on personal injury law, and he has represented thousands of injured Nova Scotians before courts and tribunals, including auto insurance premium hearings before the Utility and Review Board and constitutional challenges to the province's Auto Insurance Reform Act. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for personal injury work since 2007 and received the Canadian Bar Association's Community Service Award in 2008 and the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association's Courageous Advocacy Award in 2011. He is a past president of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and chairs the IWK Foundation. In December 2014 he was appointed Queen's Counsel by the Province of Nova Scotia.
