André Perey is a partner in Osler's Emerging and High Growth Companies Practice, working out of the Toronto office. His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, and venture capital financing for a wide range of Canadian and international clients across sectors such as software, digital media, online commerce, financial services, retail, food and beverage, and renewable energy. Perey represents growth-stage and emerging businesses along with the strategic and financial investors who invest in and acquire them, and he takes part in numerous local and national innovation, incubator, and accelerator initiatives. He frequently advises foreign companies on establishing or investing in Canadian ventures and has developed particular expertise in international joint venture transactions. His mergers and acquisitions work has touched some of the most significant activity in the artificial intelligence field, including transactions for academics in machine learning and AI with global consumer internet companies and research institutions.
