About Denise
Denise Robertson is a partner at Mills & Mills LLP, which she joined in 2005 before making partner in 2018. Her practice centers on private business, not-for-profit and regulatory law, and she advises business owners and nonprofit boards on practical steps to protect their organizations. She often speaks publicly on starting a business, restructuring, and buying or selling a company. Much of her nonprofit work involves bylaw revisions and governance under federal and Ontario not-for-profit legislation, and she counsels professional associations, regulatory bodies, churches and health foundations. She has spent more than fifteen years working with clients in the design sector and also advises regulated health professionals and institutions, including long-term care facilities. Denise holds an Honours BA from Western University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the bar in 2005.
