About Allison

Allison Russell is senior counsel and the senior managing lawyer of Rana Law's Vancouver office, practising Aboriginal law and business law with a focus on economic development, Specific Claims negotiation and settlement, First Nations litigation, and corporate restructuring. Russell has litigation experience before all levels of court in British Columbia and before federal courts, with work spanning the specific claims process, complex First Nations economic development matters, and commercial real estate transactions. Russell holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University (2003) and a J.D. from the University of Calgary (2006), is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the Canadian Bar Association, where Russell serves as Member-at-Large of the BC Aboriginal Section Executive. Russell previously served as vice-chair and board member of Green Calgary and has volunteered with West Coast LEAF, Ecojustice, and the John Howard Society.
