About James

James Floros is legal counsel at Rana Law's Vancouver office, focusing on Indigenous law, including the duty to consult, Aboriginal and treaty rights, Specific Claims, and treaty implementation initiatives. Floros's practice covers cumulative effects management, reserve land matters, Additions to Reserve processes, governance support, revitalization of customary Indigenous law, commercial negotiations with industry, and economic development structures. Floros holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) (2012) and a Master of Arts (2013) from the University of Toronto, a J.D. from the University of Ottawa (2017), and a Certificate in International Law from the Université Catholique de Louvain (2021).
