About James

James Barth is an associate at Young Anderson, having joined the firm in May 2022 after completing his articles there. He maintains a broad municipal law practice with a particular interest in freedom of information and privacy law. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2021, where he oversaw Pro Bono Students Canada's Homeless ID project and worked as a research assistant on housing commissions and encampments. He previously studied at Mount Allison University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and Distinction in Psychology.
