About William

William Katz is a partner at Carbert Waite LLP with a commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice focused on shareholder litigation, corporate and investment fraud, construction disputes, and employment law, including constructive dismissal, human rights and wrongful dismissal matters. He has appeared before numerous courts and tribunals across Canada and also works as an arbitrator, mediator and negotiator. For five years he has taught Civil Procedure at the University of Calgary Law School and mentors students from primary school through university in mooting and debating. He is currently appointed to the Hearing Tribunal of the Real Estate Council of Alberta. He holds an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business (2016), a JD from the University of Calgary (2016), and a Bachelor of Arts in Sport, Recreation and Tourism from the University of Alberta (2010), and is fluent in Hebrew.
