About Alex
Alex Norris is a partner at Carbert Waite LLP and co-chair of the firm's employment practice group, advising on contractual disputes, insurance matters and tort claims as well as construction lien and delay claims. She has developed a specialty in employment law for both employers and employees, including terminations, workplace harassment, human rights and disciplinary matters, and has represented clients before the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. She joined Carbert Waite in 2019 after practising at a large Calgary firm and a boutique firm, earned her JD from the University of British Columbia in 2013, and holds a BBA (Hons) from St. Francis Xavier University (2009). She was called to the Alberta bar in 2014 and volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance and Pro Bono Law Alberta.
