About Tommy

Tommy Chan joined Richards Buell Sutton in 2015 and maintains a dual practice in the firm's Insolvency and Estate & Wealth Advisory groups. He regularly represents secured and judgment creditors, both private and institutional, seeking to recover and realize on amounts, particularly in foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings, and also practises trust and estate planning, administration, and litigation. As part of the Asia Pacific Practice Group he is fluent in Cantonese and conversationally fluent in Mandarin. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Richmond, B.C., he has appeared at all court levels in British Columbia. He holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia (2016) and a B.A. from the same university (2012), and was called to the bar in 2017. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia.
