About Louis

Louis Alexopoulos serves as Of Counsel at Sotos LLP, where he leads the firm's private client practice with a focus on estate planning and administration. He has decades of experience advising private clients and businesses on commercial real estate transactions, including buying, selling, leasing, and financing property, as well as corporate restructuring and succession planning. Louis acts as co-trustee alongside corporate and individual trustees in administering family trusts, and his clients have included banks, franchisors, and biotechnology and non-profit organizations. He is a past president of the Hellenic Canadian Lawyers Association and a former Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and he is proficient in Greek. Louis was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario, and he later completed an MBA at York University. Franchise Times has named him a 'Legal Eagle' every year from 2014 to 2022.
