About Thomas

Tom is Counsel in McInnes Cooper's St. John's office with a corporate and business law practice serving banking and financial institutions, aerospace companies, major construction companies and individuals. He has appeared before arbitrators and all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and acted as lead counsel in several major real estate developments and insolvencies. Tom served as counsel to the Public Utilities Board and on a Special Task Group regarding the Upper Churchill Contract, and is a past President of the Law Society of Newfoundland and past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's National Business Law Section. He holds an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 1977.
