About Meaghan

Meaghan Hughes is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Charlottetown office, practising in public law, employment and labour law, administrative law, and municipal law. She was called to the Prince Edward Island Bar in 2012 after earning her J.D. from the Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law. She spent five years in the Prince Edward Island public service as a lawyer and as Director of Legal and Legislative Services, acting as lead counsel for the province in litigation, regulatory, and administrative proceedings. She has represented clients before all levels of court in Prince Edward Island, the Supreme Court of Canada, and administrative tribunals, and previously served as Vice-Chair of the provincial Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal.
