He advises businesses, lenders, and creditors on restructurings, receiverships, and insolvency proceedings, and assists lending institutions and corporations with GST, customs, and provincial tax matters. Chiasson regularly advises borrowers and lenders on sophisticated, time-sensitive financing transactions. He has chaired the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society's Finance Committee and participated in the GST-HST Leaders' Forum since 2007. He earned his LLB and MBA from Dalhousie University in 1988 and a BA from Dalhousie in 1984, and was named King's Counsel in 2008.
