About Tara

Tara Callan is a litigation lawyer at Preszler Law who previously worked for the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General and articled at a large private firm. She has appeared before all levels of tribunals and courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, on complex and strategically significant files. Tara was lead counsel in Crown Prosecutor liability cases such as Clark v. Ontario and Miazga v. Kvello, represented the Province in Ontario v. CBC at the Supreme Court, and appeared before the Cohen Commission and in Bennett v. British Columbia, one of the province's first class action common issues trials. Before law, she worked in quality assurance, at Statistics Canada, and as a Research and Development Coordinator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She has volunteered as a Guest Judge with the Professional Legal Training Course since 2009, and her practice today focuses on personal injury litigation.
