About Andrew

Andrew Mercer leads the property damage practice at Preszler Injury Lawyers, where he represents individuals and businesses in disputes over denied or underpaid property insurance claims following fires, floods, storms and other losses. His experience covers most major categories of coverage, including auto, commercial general liability, errors and omissions, directors and officers, and title insurance. Having previously represented insurers, he brings insight into how claims get assessed and defended, and now focuses solely on policyholders. Andrew has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario and in commercial arbitrations, and he has experience as an appraiser, umpire and counsel in the insurance appraisal process. He co-authored several texts on Canadian insurance law and taught civil procedure as an adjunct professor at Western University. He earned his BA from Queen's University in 2007 and his LLB from Dalhousie University in 2010.
