About Susan
Susan Johnson is a corporate and tax lawyer whose practice focuses on domestic corporate tax advice and planning for individuals, trusts, and private corporations, including corporate transactions, tax efficient reorganizations, business structuring, and strategic tax planning. Her practice also covers estates and trusts, as well as cross-border, emigration and immigration tax considerations. Before law, she spent over a decade in banking and financial services, including as a personal banker, which shapes her practical, business-oriented approach. Susan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of West Indies, and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. She has represented Nova Scotia on the Canadian Bar Association's National Board of Directors and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of New Brunswick, and the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2019.
