About Charles
Charles Keizer is a partner who co-heads the firm's Infrastructure and Energy Practice and leads its Energy Regulatory Practice. His work centers on administrative law and energy sector project development, and he regularly advises power generators, transmitters, and electricity and gas distributors on regulatory matters. He often appears before the Ontario Energy Board on rate, licensing, and construction-related applications, some among the more complex matters the tribunal handles. As lead counsel on several generation and transmission projects, he has advised on regulatory regimes from early development through to commercial operation. Before entering law, he worked as a financial project manager and economic analyst at the Ontario Energy Board. He has since chaired the boards of Burlington Hydro Electric and Burlington Hydro, and he also spent time as a director with the Ontario Energy Association and served as a governor of McMaster University's board.
