About Stephen

Stephen W. Green is Canadian Managing Partner at Green and Spiegel and is Certified as a Specialist in Immigration Law by the Law Society of Ontario. He has practiced immigration law for more than 35 years, and his work spans corporate employee transfers, express entry applications, family class and provincial nominee applications, business immigration, work permits, and Labour Market Impact Assessments. He also leads the firm's Investment and Entrepreneur Department, assisting business people and high-net-worth individuals seeking permanent residence through investment in Canada, and he has particular expertise in CUSMA work permit exemptions for key personnel. Stephen was called to the Ontario bar in 1988 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Windsor, and he was appointed to the Law Society of Ontario's Certified Specialist Board for Citizenship and Immigration Law in 2024. He served as a Director of the Canada Employment Relocation Council from 2015 to 2020, co-chaired the Law Society's Annual Immigration Law Summit for five years, and was head lecturer of the Immigration Practices and Procedures course at Seneca College from 1997 to 2010. He has also held adjunct professor appointments at the law schools of the University of Windsor and the University of Western Ontario.
