Pineau is developing a practice in labour and employment, civil litigation, and criminal defence, assisting unions and advising clients facing litigation disputes or criminal charges. She has experience with matters before all levels of court in Nova Scotia, as well as before arbitrators and regulatory bodies including the Nova Scotia College of Nursing and the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board. She graduated from the Schulich School of Law with a Criminal Justice Specialization, and while in law school she and a teammate placed second in the Gale Cup, a national criminal and constitutional law moot, arguing before a panel at the Supreme Court of Canada. She received the Frank M. Covert Scholarship for academic excellence and subject awards for the highest marks in Criminal Law, Legal Research and Writing, Contracts, and Tax Law. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2024.
