About Sharyne

Sharyne Hamm is a litigation lawyer at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP practising primarily in construction litigation, commercial litigation, and administrative and regulatory law. She advises on construction projects from contract drafting through dispute resolution and presents annually to the Winnipeg Construction Association on topics such as builders' liens and the prompt payment regime. In administrative law, she advises self-governing professions on regulation and governance, including matters under Manitoba's Regulated Health Professions Act. Hamm was elected a bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba in 2022, after serving as student bencher in 2016/2017, and became the Society's vice president in 2026. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2016 and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2017. She received the Manitoba Bar Association's 2023 Pro Bono Award and volunteers at the Legal Help Centre and as a coach for the Davies Corporate Securities Moot.
