Carter Liebzeit is an associate at MLT Aikins LLP in Winnipeg, practising civil and commercial litigation, administrative law, arbitration, class actions, construction litigation, and franchising. Before joining the firm, he worked for three years at a Toronto litigation firm, appearing before courts in Ontario, Manitoba, and British Columbia on commercial disputes, fraud claims, and class actions. Liebzeit clerked at the Manitoba Court of Appeal and for Federal Court Justice McVeigh, and interned with the Ontario Securities Commission's Enforcement Branch and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Geneva. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and the Manitoba bar in 2023, and earned his J.D. and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Manitoba in 2019 and 2016 respectively.
