About Christopher
Christopher Achkar is the founder and managing partner of Achkar Law, which he established in July 2016 and has grown into a practice serving employees, employers, and businesses across Ontario and British Columbia; he's licensed in both provinces. He's been named a Lawyer to Watch in employment law by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for 2026. His practice spans wrongful dismissal, workplace investigations, human rights applications, employment agreements, shareholder conflicts, contract litigation, and construction disputes, and he appears before all levels of court and before tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Born in Lebanon, he serves on the boards of the Beyond Reasonable Doubt Community, Blue Door, and the Cabbagetown Community Arts Centre. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates' Society, and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
