About Sara
Sara Forte has practised only in employment law, labour law, and workplace human rights since 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, joint-majoring in Psychology and Business, then worked in human resources before attending law school at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Her legal career began at a prominent national firm, articling and then working for several years as an associate in its labour and employment group serving large corporations, before moving to a small Vancouver firm serving mostly workers and unions. In November 2016 she opened Forte Workplace Law in Surrey, which has since grown to include several lawyers and offices in BC and Alberta. In 2019 the firm launched its StandUP Teams respectful workplace program. She was a 2020 nominee for Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada and received the CBABC Women Lawyers' Forum Award of Excellence in 2025, and is President of the Board of Directors of Sources Community Resources Society.
