About Carmelle

Carmelle Dieleman practices all areas of workplace law, including employment, workers' compensation, and human rights, and conducts mediations and investigations in workplace, education, and sports settings. After graduating from law school, she worked in general private practice, then in government and in-house roles, before returning to private practice. She is a strong advocate for resolving conflict outside of litigation, through preventative training and policies or through mediation and investigation, reserving litigation for when it is truly necessary. She earned her JD from the University of Ottawa in 2013 and her LL.M. from the University of British Columbia in 2019.
