About Sacha

Sacha Paul is a partner at TDS who practises primarily in Aboriginal law and public and administrative law. A member of the English River First Nation, a Dene community in northern Saskatchewan, he has practised law for over 20 years and clerked for Justice Ian Binnie of the Supreme Court of Canada in 2003. He is a member of the bar in Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, and Saskatchewan, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, several provincial and territorial Courts of Appeal, and numerous administrative tribunals. Sacha advises resource developers and First Nations and Metis governments on engagement, governance, and specific claims matters, and has appeared before human rights and workers' compensation tribunals. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario in 1999 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba in 2002, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2003. He served as President of the Law Society of Manitoba in 2022 and has been recognized repeatedly in Best Lawyers in Canada for Aboriginal law. His services are provided through Sacha Paul Law Corporation.
