About Rutsu
Rutsu Shikano specializes in estate planning, wealth transfer, and business succession, incorporating knowledge of tax law, corporate law, real estate law, and family law to provide holistic advice. After completing her articles with Richards Buell Sutton in 2013 she joined the Estate and Wealth Advisory Group. She has volunteered internationally and serves in community leadership roles with organizations focused on youth and cultural heritage. She holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary (2012) and a B.A. from Simon Fraser University (2009), and was called to the bar in 2013. She completed Parts I, II, and III of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Course in 2020, receiving an Honourable Mention for her Year III project.
