About Sarando
Sarando Matheos is McQuarrie's managing partner and has practised civil litigation focused on negligence and denied insurance claims for more than 26 years. He handles complex negotiations, mediations, and litigation involving life insurance, disability benefits, property loss, mortgage insurance, and business interruption claims, and has represented hundreds of British Columbians whose insurance claims were denied. Originally from Winnipeg, he was called to the bar in Manitoba in 1992 and in BC in 1993. He was recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2026 for insurance law, his fourth consecutive year of recognition.
