About Richard

Richard Yaffe, K.C., is a business law partner focusing on securities law and Manitoba limited partnership law, with a corporate and commercial transactional practice emphasizing the strategic use of Manitoba limited partnerships in transactions and financings. He has built a national and international reputation assisting clients with structuring Manitoba limited partnerships for international private equity and investment funds, and regularly acts as Manitoba and Saskatchewan agency counsel in multi-jurisdictional securities offerings. Richard is a public member and Manitoba District Chair of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, where he chairs disciplinary hearings. He earned his BA from the University of Manitoba in 1976 and his LLB in 1979, was called to the Manitoba bar in 1980 and the Saskatchewan bar in 2020, and was appointed King's Counsel in Manitoba in 2019.
