About Riccardo

Riccardo Forno is a partner at Irwin Lowy LLP with a general corporate, commercial and securities law practice focused on corporate finance, private equity, stock exchange listings, IPOs, capital pool company formations and qualifying transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He acts for both public and private issuers and regularly advises on corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, financing options and regulatory compliance. In his corporate finance work he represents issuers and investors in IPOs, private placements and other debt and equity financings, and he advises boards on executive and director compensation and liability matters. Riccardo articled and practiced at Bennett Jones LLP's Toronto office from 2007 to 2011, including a secondment to the Ontario Securities Commission as a student-at-law, before joining Irwin Lowy in 2011. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2008 and a B.B.A. in International Business and Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from George Washington University in 2003, where he was a four-year member of the varsity soccer team. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2009.
