About Rachel
Rachel Ariss is an associate at Ng Ariss Fong who conducts special research, drafting, and policy analysis projects for the firm. She articled with the United Steelworkers of America and was called to the Ontario bar in 1993. Rachel holds an LL.M. from Queen's University and an S.J.D. from the University of Toronto, and has been an associate professor of Sociology at Lakehead University and is currently an associate professor of Legal Studies at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She has published on the ethics of reproductive technology and assisted in developing Fiduciary Duties in Canada, with recent work appearing in the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development and Law, the Canadian Review of Sociology, the Indigenous Law Journal, and the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research and Practice.
