Patricia MacIver is associate counsel at Rana Law's Calgary office, practising First Nations governance and administration, Specific Claims negotiation and implementation, reserve land matters and Land Code development, corporate governance for First Nation entities, employment and labour relations, and child and family services matters. MacIver holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University (2003), a Master of Public Policy from Simon Fraser University (2006), an LL.B. from Dalhousie University (2010), and completed the Intensive Program in Aboriginal Lands, Resources and Governments at Osgoode Hall (2010). MacIver received the inaugural Donald Marshall Junior Memorial Award at Dalhousie, interned with the Nisga'a Lisims Government, and previously worked as a policy analyst in Yukon and Ontario and in labour and employment law at a national and international firm. MacIver is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the Law Society of Prince Edward Island.
