About Oliver
Oliver O'Brien is a lawyer at WEL Partners who joined the firm as a student in October 2022 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2025. He holds a Master's in Law from University College London, a qualifying law degree from the University of Kent, and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London. His practice interests include wills and estates as well as the relationship between law and medical ethics, such as end-of-life decisions, capacity, and consent. While in London, he regularly volunteered at the Marylebone soup kitchen, an experience that deepened his interest in helping vulnerable and isolated people through legal work. He values mediation and communication as tools for resolving disputes.
