About Bryan

Bryan Gilmartin is Co-Managing Partner at WEL Partners, where he practices exclusively in estate, trust, power of attorney, capacity, and guardianship litigation. He grew up working in his family's funeral home in a small town in northern Ontario before studying jazz performance at the University of Toronto and later completing a dual JD at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. Bryan joined WEL Partners as a summer student and returned after his call to the Ontario bar in 2020, working his way up from articling student to associate and now co-managing partner. He has handled matters at every level of court, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada, and frequently mediates trust and estate disputes. He completed the Mediation Intensive program at Harvard Law School and has been named to Best Lawyers since 2022.
