About Emily

Emily Caza is a lawyer at WEL Partners practising guardianship, capacity law, and estate litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor from Queen's University and was called to the Ontario bar in 2025. She completed her articles at the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, where she developed her interest in capacity and guardianship matters, advocating for individuals who lack capacity. While at Queen's, Emily served as president of the Disability and Mental Health Law Club and worked as a student caseworker at the Queen's Elder Law Clinic, providing free legal services to low-income seniors in Kingston. Before attending law school, she played for the Jamaica women's national soccer team, an experience she credits with building discipline and teamwork that she now brings to her legal practice.
