About Neil
Neil Paris has practised commercial litigation for more than 20 years. After 12 years at a large Bay Street firm, he founded Paris & Company, the predecessor to Paris & Sayer LLP, in 2014. He represents parties in commercial disputes involving contract interpretation, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment law, and professional negligence claims against accountants, lawyers, and medical professionals, with a significant part of his work involving accountants and audit firms. Neil has a growing appellate practice and argued before the Supreme Court of Canada in 2024 as counsel for the Appellant in Amex v. Sinclair. He appears regularly before the Commercial List of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has argued numerous commercial arbitrations. In 2021 he completed a certificate in Dispute Resolution through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Outside of practice, Neil coaches baseball with the West Toronto Wildcats and volunteers with the Annette Baseball Association.
