About Nathan

Nathan Sutherland, a partner at Pink Larkin, directs his civil litigation practice toward construction, commercial, and insurance-related disputes. His litigation record includes appearances before every level of court in Nova Scotia, plus work as counsel in commercial arbitrations and before regulatory bodies such as the Nova Scotia Utilities and Review Board. He views litigation as a problem-solving exercise for clients, weighing risks and costs to build strategies that fit their goals, and he has served as an instructor for Construction Law at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law. He is a member of the Atlantic Regional Advisory Committee of the Advocates' Society, and the 2026 Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards shortlisted him for Atlantics Litigator of the Year. He earned his LL.B. from Dalhousie University and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2008.
