About Morris
Morris A. Chochla is counsel in mediation with FCL, focusing on professional errors and omissions, products liability, coverage disputes, and construction claims. He combines his legal training with a background in engineering, having earned degrees in both fields from Queen's University before adding an LLM from Osgoode Hall in 2011. He holds a Professional Engineer designation and was called to the Ontario bar in 1980. Morris has spoken at numerous industry gatherings, including the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering and Lloyd's of London, and has written on insurers' duty to defend and related coverage issues. He served as President of the Ontario Bar Association from 2012 to 2013 and has been named to The Best Lawyers in Canada in insurance law every year since 2006.
