Construction LawDaniel Silla practises across civil litigation, with particular focus on professional liability, construction law, product liability, coverage and fidelity insurance. Before joining his current firm, he worked at a boutique firm specializing in insurance defence, acting for clients in motor vehicle accident, construction, occupiers' liability, and property damage claims, and he has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on contested motions, Small Claims Court trials, and jury trials alongside senior counsel. He earned his JD from Queen's University Law School, where he received the Queen's Law Prize for the highest standing in patent law, volunteered at Queen's Legal Aid, and completed a certificate in international public law at Queen's Bader International Study Centre in the UK. He also holds an honours BA in criminology from York University, where he graduated on the Dean's Honour Roll. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2018.
