About Michael

Michael Koppeser is a partner whose practice covers business law and real estate. He advises individuals and their businesses throughout the life of the enterprise, from startup through acquisitions and growth to the eventual transfer of wealth to the next generation. His work includes helping clients set up and organize business ventures such as partnerships and corporations, handling mergers and acquisitions, arranging bank and private financing, structuring purchase and sale deals, and advising on property development and leasing, all with an eye toward tax, estate planning, and wealth transmission goals. Michael earned his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1984 and his B.A. from the University of Waterloo in 1981, and he was called to the bar in 1986. As a partner at McCarter Grespan, he also mentors associates and supports the firm's continued growth.
